*Ahem* Let these words ring in your ears and pierce your mind leaving a hole to be filled with wonder and desire for your own destiny. I can't define America as a place for freedom. because in this kingdom I am the caged lion, restrained by peer pressure chains and social status cuffs. This cage is the country's perception of my idiosyncrasies and tendencies to follow black trends and the assumption that I can't make ends... meet, that I greet the planet with a suspicious disposition and permanent aggression that leads to transgression to federal arrestion... forgive me for that last word that ended in shun, my mind began to run a little too fast for my mouth to catch up. So now when I think of America, my mouth can finally catch up and I want to upchuck at the thought that I am equal to everyone else that walks this country? And yet I stroll the blocks of Los Angeles feeling angriness because I get whispers and looks because in America a six foot two black kid in sneakers is a class A crook in the judgmental eyes of American citizens everywhere. But I can't rage at them... their opinion is the result of conditioning; that's right, brainwashing and conditioning with a free ignorance rinse. It's pathetic and I don't get it I need a medic for this splitting headache I get when I think of all the obstacles I must overcome so that I won't be a rum soaked crummy bum who can sign language and play drums and hum a C# Major Scale on the fly; So why do I claim this American citizenship that gives me a new chip to bear on my shoulder each and every waking moment that I breathe this polluted unequal air? Because I like a challenge; Is that all you got oppression; my impression of you is like a puddle on the ground because I've found a mere puddle shouldn't be muddling around with my emotions and self worth; It gets worse; You tried to bring me down Fear; the greatest enemy of all; you almost succeeded because I began to fall but all in all the wise say one day you can reach the greatest heights by falling the greatest depths and now after a rest at the bottom it's time to climb to the top and then I can't stop. These problems are inspiration, a constant respiration of my fiery will; my strength and resolution to find a conclusion to the story of my life that doesn't end two pages after the climax. So like Ajax I dissolve the haters, and spit fiery rhymes to chemically transform them to see you laters because I can't see haters through this filter in my glasses called independence. And maybe I'll see those haters later when I'm a bit greater than the retired King narrator and they will be fans, fans that can cool me down so that my flaming ambition doesn't set fire to the world. But perhaps I need to rebuild this world from ashes, make the world see peace and love through these glasses, no, these three dream glasses, dreams that I will manifest into reality with poetry and music. I'll put this raging beast inside my chest to rest as soon as I become the best of the best; lest ye wish to catch a beat down you better step down from that high throne buddy; I don't feel like feeling cruddy so don't step on my dreams; and shut up unless you got some helpful support for me. So now my peers I gets to crackin; crackin the plans with these hands tough with pain, stopping the injustice rain with my brain and endless Moorish soul. I thank God for giving me these hardships, because I became harder than the ship, invincible to the trials and tribulations that are on the long pathway to being a man of greatness. I hope these words didn't drive you crazy you lazies; maybe you get up and smell the bonafide truth daises fast forward 20 years to get a feeling of dazing when you see me as the first link when you Google "amazing".
