Not Good Enough

Darkness creeps into my mind,
Voices whisper things unkind,
“Not good enough” they say,
 “Not in a single way”.

The words penetrate into my soul,
The words make me lose control,
Spinning into the black,
No way to turn back.

I refused to give up or run,
I will fight and not be done,
I faced my fears and fought,
But victory seemed naught.

Then God grabbed onto my heart,
Pieced back together what was torn apart,
Stood me on my feet,
Making me complete.
