Not Here

Enrobed in an ebony, glittering dress

Warmed by the Prince at her side

Wedding bells crashing through the air as if in distress

Ringing and ringing until she awoke still weary-eyed

She lay amongst the cinders, blackening her rags

No fairytale ball, no dreamy prince

The servant's bell continued to nag

Any happy ending only a dream
