Not Just Any Kind

I want that “I can’t fall asleep if I’m not next to you” kinda love

That “you’re the first thing I think about when I open my eyes in the morning” kinda love

“When I roll over in the bed and see your face, I feel complete” kinda love

That “if I haven’t heard from you in a couple hours, I get a little worried” kinda love

Cause this world isn’t safe and if you get pulled over by the police, I might not see you again

And how would I live?

Without you here to show me that kinda love where I live to keep you happy

That love we go our whole lives looking for

That love where the good outweighs the bad

“Sitting up in the middle of the night, just talking about life” kinda love

Because I care what you’re thinking and you care how I’m feeling

You’re my lover and my best friend kinda love

The kinda love where you love me even when I can’t seem to love myself

I want to live for the moments when you hug me and as soon as I try to let go, you hold me tighter.

You don’t want to see me go.

My presence actually matters to someone.

You appreciate me and everything I do.

The kinda love where I still get butterflies when I’m around you.

“I still blush when your name pops up on my phone” kinda love

“Movie nights with pizza and you are the perfect nights” kinda love

That love where I don’t have to worry about getting hurt

I can trust you

I want that “daddy’s girl” kinda love because nobody loves me like my dad

I want that kinda love where you know that I’m not myself so you try to figure out what’s wrong even when I lie and say I’m okay.

The kinda love where you know that I’m just hungry or tired or it’s my time of the month, so you don’t mind that I’m a little moody.

“I’m your biggest fan” kinda love

“I will always support your dreams” kinda love

“Holding up posters, screaming your name, wearing your jersey” kinda love

The kinda love where you wouldn’t do anything to risk losing me because you want this kinda love just as much as I do.
