Not just a book

Drowning, suffocating, definitely not breathing

Choking on my choices, so not worth leaving

I need to find a way, a way of surviving

Because sometimes living is just inquiring

It's just another way to live for a few minutes longer

It's a way to realize it's better even when you're sober

It's a way to live vicariously through folders

It's more than just another book, it's my life holder

Standing in a crowd does little to hide my pain

Believing if I find them I can overcome these chains

Looking at me, all I see is plain. Just plain

In a book, I know I don't live in vain
