Not Just A King
"Born that man no more may die, this baby born for sacrific, died to give us a second birth."
Luke 2:8-14~ "And in the same region, there were shepherds out in the field, keeping watch over their flock by night. And the angel of the Lord appeared to them, and the glory of the Lord shone around them, and they were filled with great fear and the angel said to them, "fear not, for behold I bring you good news of great joy that will be for all people, for unto you is born this day in the city of David, a Savior, who is Christ the Lord. And this will be a sign for you, you will find a baby wrapped in swaddling cloths lying in a manger. And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of heavenly hosts praising God, and saying, "Glory to God in the highest and on earth peace among those with whom He is pleased."
Christmas is a season to remember the birth of our Savior 2,000 years ago.
One that gave up heaven's riches to become human flesh and become the least of us.
2,000 years ago there was an amazing miracle; a event that would change the course of history forever.
This would be the greatest fulfillment ever to be done.
A fulfillment that would come along with so much pain, agony, and suffering but would end with a beautiful picture of God's love for us that propelled Him to the cross to die for our sins and rise again in glory trampling death once for all of eternity.
John 3:16-17~ "For God so loved the world that He gave his only Son that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world but that the world might be saved through Him."
Romans 5:8~ "But God shows his love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us."
Let us not look past what God has done for people back then, and his people now.
But let us look to this with absolute reverence, knowing His name is always going to be renowned and superior above all, through all, and in all things forever!
Let us live with a joy that only Christ can truly give because the joy of the Lord is our strength. (Nehemiah 8:10).
To God be all glory, all praise, and all honor forever and ever! Amen! Soli Deo Gloria!
