Not Just a Machine

They say that I am sucked in

That the internet is not something to live in

But to me

the internet is all about possibilities

All of the information in the world

All the answers to all the questions, unfurled

If I ever lost my connection

I would lose my direction

I have traveled more, seen more, experienced more

I have nothing to answer for

I am awake, I am aware

Yet all they can do is stare

Say that I am addicted

Maybe I am, but its better than being constricted

My computer, my connection has defined me,

it has opened my eyes, so just let me be.
