Not just my poem
This is not a poem
This is my life story
No
This was my life in the ghettos
Where are my parents?
I don't know
But I wish, Oh, how I wish, I knew where they were
Are they near me?
Are they dead?
I will know soon
I thought everyday for a week
Then, then they came for me
They came for us
Who are they?
They are the Nazi's
The mustache man put them in charge to kill us
To work people to death
He had thousands of school pets
Because he didn't have one at home
When they came for us they used guns to push us around
And to herd us into trains
The train ride was really long
I thought it would take forever to get where we were going
On the trip some kids fell asleep
Yet when I tried to wake them
THEY WOULDN'T WAKE UP
The Nazi's and SS men didn't seem to care when they came aboard
Again they herded us
This time it was off the train instead of on
We went into a large open area
We were lined up infront of a gigantic hole
Pop! Pop! Pop! X20
No child in the path was left standing
Not even me
