Not Just Yet

I don’t want you to know me yet

I don’t want you to know who I am yet

I’m still putting my pieces back together

I fear, if you get to close, one of my jaded pieces might hurt you and leave you running

I haven’t got the update yet

I haven’t got the new parts in yet

I haven’t had my test run yet

I want you to be patient

I want you to want me

I just need time to prepare myself

Time to heal my wounds

Time to throw out old baggage

Time to put the monsters in their cages

I don’t want you to find me yet because I’m still trying to find parts of myself

The outgoing part

Of course, she’s probably being the life of the party somewhere else

The patient part

However, she’s probably waiting for me to find her where I left her

The happy part

But who knows where she is?

She’s been gone for years

So I don’t want you to find me yet

If you find me, I don’t want you to know me yet

I’m not ready for you to know me

Not the old me

But the new me…

Just you wait
