“I hurt you? Tough luck you always want to cause a strife”

I’ll put up with it because I love you

Because I love you

I’ll answer your calls even though I know you’re toxic for me

I’ll listen to your rants about the person you want me to be

I won’t question why you treat me the way that you do

I’ll spend countless nights crying myself to sleep over you

I’ll smile when you tell me you never loved me

I’ll believe I’m worthless since that’s all you’ve convinced me to be

“I will talk about this other girl as much as I please”

“Oh you’re getting sad now get over it don’t drop to your knees”

“Kiss me and tell me you love me my dear”

“If I shout at you don’t you dare show your fear”

“You want to meet because you miss me so much?”

“All that is simply ridiculous feelings and such”

I’ll put up with it because I love you

I finally understand

What it’s like to be without a foot and a hand

You’re condescending voice still rings in my head

Reminding me of the lies you told in bed

Because I love you I choose to go

Because I love you now you know

Loving someone doesn’t mean enduring the abuse

It means never being okay with someone giving you the blues

Love doesn’t mean hell on earth

It means 100% knowing your value and worth

“Because I love you” is not a justification

It’s a play on words meant to create infatuation

And me putting up with it was the worst retaliation
