This Is Not Love (Beauty & the Beast)

All the riches are back

but he has left

The man I used to know

For no deeds I do

Will make him return

With him, I no longer grow.

It is not that he is cruel,

Nor strikes me

It is not that he screams.

It is more like I'm a possession to him,

A possession no one else should see.

All the riches are back,

But my man is gone

The man I helped to change

For no deeds I do,

No matter how good,

Will help his mind to rearrange.

I cannot speak to others

He is always the one I must choose

I wish I'd known that all I've done for him

Had only boosted his narcissistic views.

All the riches are back,

But my prince is gone

The prince I used to love

For he wished to break

His horrid curse

And therefore tricked me into love.
