Not For Me

The thought of beautiful scenery, not for me

It makes me feel the pain of a stinging bee

If you wanted to see laughing and fun

Outside in the grass you wouldn’t fine none

Playing house and drinking tea, not for me

The futures not quite right just wait you’ll see

Underneath the scorching sun I lie

Buzzing nosily around me is a pesky fly

Finally sun’s bright light goes away

Allowing me to hear no children’s play

I’m gladdened that night has arrived

But dreading a new day, feeling deprived
