Not Mine.

You and I met at the wrong time

but there isn't a doubt in my mind

that you're the wrong person for me.

I know the universe meant for us to meet

we're so compatible

it's crazy.

You were once my best friend,

but now you're just someone I can truly be myself around

Someone i can talk to about anything and everything

But you're not mine.

Your heart belongs to someone else

and although that kills me, it's something I have to live with.

For the sake of my own heart.

I lost my chance, but I didn't lose my hope.

I still believe one day we'll re-light our spark

and everything

will fall back

into place.
