Darryl Roman Burt Jr.: Shot June 12th, 2016 in Orlando, FL at Pulse Nightclub

Motive: Sexuality

Ethnicity: Black

Cause of Death: Gunshot 

 

Stephon Clark: Shot March 18th, 2018 in Sacramento, California 20 times

Motive: Said to have a gun ( It was just his phone)

Ethnicity: Black

Cause of Death: Gunshot wounds 

 

Michael Brown: Shot on August 9th, 2014 in Ferguson, Missouri

Motive: Accusations

Ethnicity: Black

Cause of Death: Gunshot Wound

 

These are just a few deaths in our community since 2009. Since then over 1,000 people have been fatally shot.

In 2017, 987 people were fatally shot by police. As of May 7th, 2018, 370 people have been fatally shot by police.

Gun violence has been around for too long and we can't risk the next generation having to fight the same battle we fight today.

We saw what happened when kids took control of guns at Stoneman Douglas High Scool and Columbine High School.

We saw what happened when Ariana Grande's concert was shot up because of hatred.

We saw how Christina Grimmie was fatally shot because of hatred.

We saw how hate caused the shooting at Pulse Night Club.

We see how Gun Violence is bringing down society and I pray we see that it needs to change.

Stop the deaths of our community. it doesn't solve anything; it just creates bigger problems.

I cry and plead. I wish and I hope. I want to see the end to gun violence.
