Not Only Because I Love You

It can be as simple as a smile to let me know.

Maybe a gentle wave or gesture.

Where the world we live lacks in morality for others,

I aim to let you know...

Where the world we live in is full of hatred and uncertainty,

terrorism,

suicide,

depression,

death.

Still I continue to share with others the feelings we all long for...

Friendships...

Connections...

Respect...

Attention...

Compassion?...

A world with so much hate, it seems all is astray.

One person to make the change,

it sounds so simple,

yet so uncomfortable.

But should it?

I write something so simple based on the reality of our lives

because I love you

and you should love yourself.

All should know that kindness and compassiongoes a long way in any relationship.
