Not A Poet

A poet is not a poet as one may claim to know it A poet is an artist, painting intricate landscapes and portraits with their aesthetic lyric. A poet is a percussionist, painting sounds across time with the beat of their placid quarrells. A poet is the singer-- dancing with the style and mood of the text. A poet is a builder, using the hammers and nails of language. A poet is a supervisor, controlling the way words work for him. A poet is a master of language Not merely a poet.
