Not Quiet Anymore

For five years, there were open wounds in my heart No one could see them, but I could feel them I pretended they weren't there, those bleeding sores I tried telling people about them, but they told me to be quiet. Is this really what sexual assault must be like? I'd rather those sores became scars Because at least scars are a sign of healing.
