Not the Same


It wasn't the same after a while.

You became less of the person I loved,

and more of a shell of who you were when I fell for you.

You were like an old stuffed animal that I couldn't stop going back to,

something to keep all of the stress off of my mind. 

But eventually there comes a time when everyone has to let go of their teddy bear and grow up,

and I did- 

even if I ran away in tears.
