Not so in Distress
Love is action, not just a phrase
Love is true, no matter the days
He says he loves me, and he shows me the ways
He buys me gifts and he supports me well
Something is enchanting within this tale
"Because I love you, you have to do what I say
let me touch you there against your dismay"
Hurting me badly, striking me with more than just his words
This love hurts, making a terrible turn for the worst
You never apologized for hurting me
but I apologized to you at least twelve times
For being angry about what I wear and you being caught in a lie
You put me through hell and I called it love
"Because I love me, I will let you go"
My worth and mental health more
And this time I will be my own hero
