Not So Much In My State

America the great?

Not so much in my state

We've got poverty,

Not enough people hitting the lottery

There's people without healthcare

Hoping to get by on a prayer

Too many are hungry

We can all hear their tummies rumbling

Without college,

Our job applications won't even be acknowledged

We just feel frustration

Because we don't have equal access to education

People acting on their prejudice

Where is the selflessness

America the great?

Not so much in my state
