Not This Time

Lay still, fast asleep

Faint cries turn to weeps

Dangling on a tight rope

Prayers asking for hope

Ancestors lost the fight

Didn't awake from what was supposed to be a nap

No matter how many "It'll be alright"s

I know what happens after that

I was drained

Yet it still pained

The world suddenly blurred

My breath could no longer be heard

Fought to keep my eyes open

Fought to keep my heart beating

Dying to go home

But Heaven decided to start seeking

Not this time however

I'll fight till days turn to forevers

Keep beating ill sick heart

Just hold on, its not time to part.
