Not a Trace

She left me since I was born

without a trace of any return

Can I say I love the woman that birthed me?

Well I can actually

I do love her but its not the same I just have a connection

Because she is my birth mother

I was in her womb so of course I’m going to always share that with her

But I don’t even know what she looks like

I don’t know her hair type

Or her signature smell because you know every mom has one

I don’t know what her hugs feel like

I don’t know what her touch is like

I don’t know the way her motherly kiss feels

I want to know her but again she left me without a trace

So, even to this day on I will not know who my birth mother is

People ask who your real mom and I say my real mom is the mom

That’s been there for me from the jump that was always here with me

That raised me as her own

That’s my real mom

I believe my real mom that’s been here for me my whole life is beautiful

Shes the most unique

She does get on my nerves at sometimes but isnt that any mom
