not what it seems
it was all good last year
turns out stuff don't last
the girl i loved turned out to have a past
a past i won't forget
her past had dealt with men
sometimes i think to myself and try to comprehend
but things are not what it seems
we was happy together
told her she was my forever
she was my ride or die
if someone offended her it was hurting my pride
but i cared for her
spoil her like no other
thinking she was the one
turns out she was just a numb
numb in my heart that could not get away from
turns out that loves hurt like my momma said
but the phrase their are other fishes out in the sea that my father use to tell me
but everything is not what it seems
she was apart of me
supported all of her needs
turns out it was not good enough for her
all the lies she said caught me
but i fooled
i feel as i was a used worn out tool
only use for a certain amount of time
but like my mom said love does not last.
