Not Who You See

You see a girl,

Outgoing and brave,

Going with the flow,

And excited for change.

That girl you see,

Could not be further from the truth,

She is the girl unknown to me.

It turns out I'm not who you see.

The real me is quiet,

But still stands strong.

Wanting to help out others,

And never be known for doing something wrong.

The real me is nerdy,

But wears that title proudly.

A girl who wants to be accepted

But refuses to be rowdy.

Who I am is not who you see,

Very few people get to know her,

But I’m glad to be me.
