Not A Woman More Llike You
Not a man standing tall
High and mighty; strong and brave
Could succeed in the challenges
You easily accomplish every day.
Not a statue standing firm—
Though unbreakable it may seem—
Could keep away the obstacles
You’ve overcome to reach your dream.
Not a painting at its finest
Costing more than one can afford
Could portray the warmth and kindness
Your heart incessantly has poured.
Not a candle at its brightest,
Accenting obtuse angles by its light,
Could reveal the beauty you imprison
When you smile radiantly with delight.
Not the moon or sun at its closest
To the earth while it floats in the skies
Could outshine the tiny twinkle
You expose in your heavenly eyes.
Not a mountain elevated in the distance
Secretly concealing dreamlike lands
Could veil the wonders that you
Charitably bestow among lacking hands.
Not a woman in this world
Breathing, living, dead or alive,
Could have blessed me more immensely
With the love you constantly provide.
Not a poem existing could prove
What is impossible to accurately say -
That my inescapable love and gratitude
Grows stronger for you every day.
