Not worth this life

We watch our world wasting away, never asking why Nobody sees the souls it takes, we're captivated by lies The world is smothered by gloomy days nobody gets it at all I sit and watch the empire stumble, soon we will fall. And in our failure we will see we were wrong from the start But soon it won't matter dear, for this will stop our hearts It doesn't matter anymore for life is not the same Now instead of falling back, we're proud of our shame Twerking and jerking and fooling around, there's no more dignity There's nothing worth fighting for, this is what I believe In a generation of annoyance, it's hard to get along When you feel like in the life you live, everything is wrong Sitting back within a dream wishing life away But you know that whatever you do, it's worse not to stay You're supposed to be something, or is that a lie too? It's bad when you can't get it right no matter what you do. All I know forever dear is I will stay the same While you all go crazy, claiming you're insane Though I'm calm and I understand, it doesn't change the truth I'm completely annoyed with today's youth.
