Not yet

So you’re not ready to love me yet?

Well that’s ok.

You’ll find me in the garden every day,

growing bouquets for you.

And you’re not ready to kiss me yet?

My dear, that’s fine,

you’ll find me drinking the finest wine

so my lips will be sweet when you come.

You’re not ready yet to embrace me?

Sweetheart, that’s quite alright,

I sleep alone now every night;

my door’s unlocked.

And you’re not ready to lie with me,

you feel afraid?

Ah, my sweet maid,

I’m frightened too.
