Not Your Typical Ballad

Two hearts were once one; one myopic and one torn. Little did one know indecisive Cupid planned to re-shoot his bow. His dream was to live a long, happy life and avoid arguments, disagreements, and strife. Her dream was sought with another man leaving her husband lonely and confused with all of their land. The kids they had ten years ago had no idea why they had to go until the other man took their mom’s hand and hatred, disgust, and betrayal crossed the kid’s minds. All were hurt, but she was not. She had a new job and a man that was not that hot. He was her boss, she was a lustful employee; her husband kept the house, land, and all the money kept under lock and key. She learned it was not worth it at all and came begging for her life back; she returned at the beginning of fall. It would never be the same and all that was left was for her and her husband to play the “perfect marriage” game. It is all a front—a show. The world does not, but the family knows.
