Note On The Mirror
Her white dress and his old blue jeans
Those rings held all their hopes and dreams
Her smile shined like the star lit sky
When she found the note that said to my new bride
If you find my tear in the ocean blue
That’s the day that I’ll stop loving you
The best things come to those who wait
Impatiently I stand here waiting to see that smile on your face
Tears fall like a rolling stone, I know I’ll never be alone
When I saw the love spill right off the page in the note on the mirror
I still remember that old rocking chair
Your guitar strings built my musical love affair
Your notes connected to my soul
And changed my life more than you’ll ever know
Mama knows you’d be so proud
Living our dream, wish you could see me now
The best things come to those who wait
Impatiently I stand here waiting to see that smile on your face
Tears fall like a rolling stone, I knew I’ll never be alone
When I saw the love spill right off the page in the note on the mirror
I thought I saw your face in the mirror
I turned around- why did ya have to disappear?
The best things come to those who wait
Impatiently I stand here waiting to see that smile on your face
Tears fall like a rolling stone, I know I’ll never be alone
When the world has more than I can take
I can still hear you say, there’s a note on the mirror
