Note To Self

I know you're not over him yet, But you're about to lose this bet. You've placed on your life, You've signed with a knife. I know you've tried before, Your life may be a bore. But why can't you see, You mean everything to me. He's not worth the price, Your final sacrifice. Please don't end the show, It's not your time to go. You may have lost a friend, Don't make this the end. It gets better after all, A rise follows a fall. Though this may leave a scar, You've already come this far. Why should you stop now, And take your final bow? Trust me, your friends need you, Yet you doubt its true. This isn't a joke, A haze amidst the smoke, Don't think about the past. Your life has got to last. I know in time you'll see, This wasn’t meant to be. It doesn't mean you lose Because now you get to choose If you go or if you stay, Just don't end the play. You can still win the game, The prize, glory, and the fame. Everyone gets knocked in the dirt, It's how you live after the hurt. So put the bottle down And dust off your crown. Don't pick up that pillowcase, Keep your hands far from your face, Don't think about the gun, Your life has just begun. Think about the future Not the things that were. There's a better and brighter tomorrow Once you get past the sorrow. So wash away the tears, Get rid of all your fears. You've been through so much strife, But please don't end your life.
