Note to Self

So many years of my life has been wasted Hurt, anger, and pain from a spouse who refuses to be faithful. At home alone daily raising our kids Claiming to be at work, instead you were out cheating. I look at you and have so many regrets I have given you my all that I have nothing left. So many secrets, mistrust, lies, and deceit Because of your unfaithfulness, in a matter of months, I lost everything I was committed to, yet I was taken for granted, Mistrust, dishonesty, lack of respect daily became hard to manage. When and where did things go wrong, I often cried from hearing our wedding song. Note to self, my value my worth Being married to you has been nothing but constant hurt. Broken, shattered, torn into pieces I finally realized this marriage is not worth keeping. Denial, envy, hatred and deceit Your unfaithfulness and lies you kept telling me. Our family is hurt torn and distraught, You came from an unstable home which is tearing us apart. I dislike everything about you because of the way you made me feel, I have to learn to love me again is an important note to self. Don't tell me you know what I feel, or that you understand Struggling daily to make ends only to be put down from all your nagging and constant complaints. My life is filled with selfishness right now as my pain is all is see, Accept my faults, my ups and downs that I'm not perfect. It's easier said than done to forget about past mistakes I stretched out my hand to you, but now it's to late. I gave so much of my time to someone who didn't care, A lesson in life learned, an important note to self. Never again will I be dumb founded or will I be dismayed, I rather wear my heart on my sleeve to keep from getting played. Pain, anguish, hurt surrounds me daily, This is what my life has been filled with lately. Live your life boldly as you have been set free, As my healing process begins, thanking God daily for his grace and mercy.
