Note to Self (pt. 2)

Note to Self (pt. 2) I am awoke Yet still I am dreaming Disbelieving The present issues that have stopped me from achieving My goals My soul, Feels torn between left and right Unaware, yet aware of the constant distractions That plague my mind, reminding me of my actions My… past actions That took away the fraction Of my hope, my peace, my joy, my childhood, my…me Am I woke? I keep asking myself over and over again Playing at this game of life, playing hard, but am I playing to win I sin I think of everything I’m doing… I’m not supposed to do Is this how I’m supposed to be, is this me, am I you? I once was awakened But now I feel that I am drifting off again, and again Re-living a nightmare that has no end This is hard for me Life is surrounding us, reminders of who she is, Who she is supposed to be She looks in the mirror and repeats yet again, “Is that me? Am I me?” Still confused Back steps she takes Those thoughts continue to drown her out at night, Throughout her endless dreams See …she is no longer awake
