Notes on a phone call

My Prince which calls out in the silence,

coaxing me back into the strange world of wondrous kisses and leagues of intensely painful emotions overtake my fevered mind.

Call on, sweet prince.

My ears ignore your plight and the rumbling of your tones cannot shake loose my resolve.

I love you deep, like the sky will fall the second we close our eyes.

I love you like the sun won't rise in the morning.

All tender hearts beating in eyelash rhythms while the song on the radio dictates out footfalls.

I implore you, dearheart, stay out of my way before the crush of my affections takes hold of your spirit.

Don't let me drag you down.

Please.

Anything but that because.

I love you
