Nothing

The world as it is

A frightening place to exist

Hatred; Inequality; Greed

They are everywhere

In the Capital

In the schools

In everyone

A little girl is abused

A woman is raped

A man is robbed

I feel sick when I hear it

so many controlled by the few

No justice

The world is far from perfect

But what would I change?

Not a damn thing

Underneath what we perceive

as the dark stories of our world

there is so much light

Compassion; Charity; Courage

They, too, are everywhere

In our humanity

In our hearts

In everyone

A little girl is hugged

A woman is loved deeply

A man is rescued off the streets

That is also this world

Because we need our flaws

and we need our strengths

Both of them existing together

That is where humans belong
