Nothing is Certain But,
Why do we always say,
That the only constant motion,
In lives set to erratic sway,
Is the insufferable devotion
Of death and taxes?
We say that we would love to be free,
But then we surrender ourselves
To life based on ends and slavery.
If I could change the world
I would change but this one thing,
From this all things will follow;
Life and liberty
For I reject that the culmination of my life is mortality
I still hope in a future where reprieve can be had,
From a body not so strong as me
Reprieve received from the minds of men who love life and liberty
Furthermore I cannot accept all my life i will work
And that work will go to benefit others who do not know what is best for me.
Others who, like I am, are men
Except they believe in death and poverty
Such decisions will be changed by those of us who love life and liberty
So if I were to live in a world perfected
It should be a world where we are free
To be men who love life and liberty.
