Nothing to Fear

I used to be afraid

When I was so small and frail

I would tremble and flail

Then my mother would say

"Be brave, nothing can hurt you"

Nothing could hurt me

I'd walk down the street

Ignoring the paws and barking

Her words were working

I used to be afraid
