NOTHING HURTS MORE
Nothing hurts more than ignored.
It hurts when I disobey my parents
in order to obey you and yet I’m ignored.
It hurts when I travel all the way just to visit
and show you that I care about you and yet I’m ignored.
Nothing hurts more than replaced.
It hurts when I think of those days
you used to tell me I will always
be your one and only and yet I’m replaced.
It hurts when I think of that day
I was leaving you when you said
I would come back to meet you waiting for me
and yet I came back only to find out that I’ve been replaced
Nothing hurts more than forgotten.
It really hurts when I remember those days you would say to me
that my name will always be on your lips and that to you
I was unforgettable and yet after leaving you for a period of time,
I had to introduce myself and almost all about me
before you could remember I once existed on this planet.
