Nothing but "I Love You"

Those silent moments

The stillness and calm

That need no words

Conveying everything

In flickers of movement

Hello

I love you

Always returning

No matter the sting

To these quiet places

Ready to start anew

I'm sorry

I was wrong

Straining through the phone

To catch tear-stained words

Spoken in horror, in fear of self;

Stitching rips with the same phrase

I love you

No bargains, requests, or deals

Nothing but

I love you

I love you,

And together

We will face this
