Nothing more

Two seconds lingering by, mind like merely drenched clay

Envied joy. Pink skies. Withered hopes in May

enclosing thickets, lofty trees for sure

when life is perceived as shattered and nothing more

Endeavored truths and endured lies

a bubbling enraged mind and broken ties

life threatening plagues; chocolate pastries on mosaic floors

vague thoughts when the mind seeks tranquility and nothing more

Imposed might and triumphant wins

victorious battles and gemstone pins

velvet cloaks behind adorned marble doors,

brandishing swords when the heart is ignorant and nothing more

When a seed is sown on parched loam

though watered with love and flower combs

it nourishes up softening the crude encrusted core

wiping the eyes welled up with salty tears and nothing more
