Nothing To Write

Inspiration comes
But nothing to write
Word after word
Passes through my mind
But nothing to write
Every breath of air
Each blink of my eye
Time slowly ticks by
But nothing to write
Escaping from stress
But also the words I speak
But nothing to write
Alone I sit
Watching embers fade out
But nothing to write
I fight my heavy head
For every drop of inspiration
My words to hit the page

SPLASH...

...ripple...

...nothing
