...notice me...

Do you ever really

really want someone to notice you're not okay,

but you're terrified if they do

because

you know you'll

just say, "No,

I'm fine,"

and push them away?

Why does

silence

not speak?

Why do people

not notice the silence

like I do?

Deaf to silence

And my roommates

said "where have you been?" and

I didn't know how to say

I had been sitting in

the middle of the street looking

at the stars and wondering why it was

that when I wanted a car to

kill me

the road was empty

Sometimes....

I get so passionate

about what I believe and

what I want to do and

I get so excited about

possibilities

that I forget

where I am.

Sometimes...

I get so passionate

that I forget what it

feels like to feel.

To feel anything but heat.

Until it leaves and

I realize my dreams are

just that: dreams
