Notion of the critic
Native land of sacred ground
The pollution of the condemnation
The neighbourhood is deteriorating
The minds of our generation is pollinated by toxic indecisions
For what's left is the loud cries of our dearly parents
Respect is tornished,
Drugs are what is cherished
Whilst fingers are pointed at each other
Yet hands seem to have forgotten to lift each other
Hands held together in destroying buh apart in building
Though we claim to be brothers & sisters our actions disagrees
Young souls stolen, dreams dead
Yet hope not lost though no action is taken
Youth perishing, parents mourning
With our hearts broken we stand for change
Love was once a key
Where kindness and love was the essence of respect
The nourishment of caring weights when one was in need
To greet and ask with care "how are you this morning"
To feel when eyes couldn't meet the skies
To hold the hand & with modesty say "I'm here for you"
Now all that's left is crime, brutality & pain
Children turned to be illiterates
While tarvens seems to smile of capitalism thou children are destroyed
Parent's weeping turned to a daily on repeat tune
Is this the hood we want for ourselves? For the next generations?
What happened to humanity?
Our land is being destroyed yet we assisting and not helping
With negative mindset, we giving up.
Drugs normalised
Schools discouraged
Hatred overpowers love
Yet we one of the same place
Have we fallen that far that we've forgotten our roots? Our nature?
And most of ourselves
The hood keeps burning yet seems we lacking
To stop the thunder of hatred from striking
To tend to be animals
Yet even beyond that we've turned to stone age of savage
What happened to the dreamers, the strivers and the hustlers reaching for the stars,
Shinning bright in the skies?
Where have the position aspirations gone?
Seems we tell a lie vision known as television as set a blur vision on our minds
Buh no need to fret yet
This can still be changed
Buh the question is "do we want it to?"
