Notre Dame

My lady, gentle and kind

I am your bell ringer

Ring bells for you, I do not mind

Bells, held by ropes bind

Me to you-my love lingers

My lady, gentle and kind

Resonance to my ears is ever so refined

Captivate me, my lady, my singer

Ring bells for you, I do not mind

My sight is misaligned

High you held the rope- a harbinger

My lady, gentle and kind

Crippled and moonblind

Your stone wall makes for a handwringer

Ring bells for you, I do not mind

Around your little finger I would gladly wind

I gallop still; lash me with your stinger

My lady, gentle and kind

Ring bells for you, I do not mind
