November 2, 1920

The injustice was over, The time had come for women to vote. Our voices would be heard and could make a difference. We had stood as one. As I stood in line, Excitement buzzed as those waiting in line murmured how it was about time. The women all glanced at each other, Entering the booths with proud smiles. It was my turn. I walked up to the gray metal booth. Who would I elect With this new found power? The curtain screeched as it closed around me. The names stood out before me, Harding and Cox. I pulled the lever. Thump. It was finally our time to be heard.
