For Now This is Good Bye

I've always questioned the possibility of an afterlife Throughout the years I've heard dozens of stories on what happens after death I've heard we reincarnate as a different species Or we are left to venture the Earth Perhaps we go to the desired destination, heaven But then again maybe all these conspiracies are made up to hide that there is no afterlife and once you're dead, there's nothing Nowhere to go No one to see And no place to call home It's just you and your lonely thoughts Whatever it may be, I will find out tonight once the clock hits twelve and I will be nothing but a picture on your shelf But don't worry I will venture the wilderness if by any chance I reincarnate as a majestic beast I will travel every city and drink from every coffee shop if I am left as a soul to wander the earth I'll bathe in the beautiful waterfalls and eat all the imaginable goods if there is a heaven And in any of these circumstances I promise, I will find a way to return to your wailing arms and teary eyes to say my very last goodbye Then I will continue my journey with you on my mind and your name always at the tip of my tongue Finally I will leave you to live a happy and healthy life But maybe, if these stories about the afterlife are nothing but rumors made to hide the tragic truth and to make worried hearts feel at ease when in reality there's nothing left in the end but the voice in your head when your eyes give there last gleam and you take your last breath Then take this as my farewell But don't worry, everyone's lifes come to an end which only means I will see you again in the following life or the next but for now, this is my goodbye.
