But Now Her

Wasting time Her skin smelt ripe Against mine Our hug was brief But at last she arrived A big breath So her belly pokes out a little I notice I’m warm Must be the sun out here I try to keep my eyes up But I still don’t meet hers Blame it on the glare They settle on the ends of her hair Or something near to there Flesh pressing against her tank top and over the belt holding up her cutoffs She walked on… Smooth muscle With a gentle sway Just enough Of all the right things Hypnotizing Her tight thighs Warble Something to bite into Softly of course She must jog a lot… BUT I only notice bodies because I am an artist I draw That’s it Like DaVinci Or something Yeah right Excuses Guilty thoughts Why was this happening again? She ignores me because We don’t know each other Not really All those girls That chase me Giving me valentines Like little teddy bears and candy And crap Wanting to take my picture Cause I’m so hot Or something So what? It never mattered but now HER The girl I WANT I can’t HAVE Well I could Of course I COULD But if I did Then everyone would know… I”M GAY.

This poem is not about any one person. It represents a feeling. A very small slice of my life. A buried feeling that needed to be dug up shown to people I see it as a sort of word painting. A little adstract, but generally accurate.
