Now I Just Miss You
I was bitter when you got sick.
I was mad when you didn't say goodbye.
I was upset you took my summer away.
Now I want it all back.
What will I do on my birthday?
I will wait for a cake with my name spelt wrong that won't come.
I want the way you hugged me.
The way you said I was your baby.
I want your love and affection.
I want long summer nights watching random shows back.
I want your crazy comments and crazy hair back.
I miss you.
I miss you yelling at the dog to stop getting an attitude with you.
I miss your potato soup on cold nights and pizza when you were to lazy to cook.
I used to be mad.
I used to be mad I could no longer ride down the staircase on a baby mattress.
I used to be mad when you wouldn't let me have just one more coke.
I used to be mad when you got older and couldn't play as well.
I'm mad that I didn't cherish all the memories I could have made.
I'm mad that I couldn't be there for you.
I'm mad that I slept through the summer instead of hanging out with you.
I used to be bitter when you got sick.
I used to be mad when you didn't say goodbye.
I used to be upset I had to spend my whole summer at your house.
Now I just miss you.
