Now That I Know

I get you

I see through

The same eyes

You do

I feel you

Soft skin

And you come unglued

If I knew how

I would find a way in

I would get in now

I would get to you

If I could

If I knew

What this meant

It's new

And it's killing me

So sweet

Like a bee sting

I know

I have no right

Asking anything of you

Not after that night

I understand

How it felt

When you took my hand

Fingers locked

Eyes met

You were everything

I needed to forget

All that ugly

All the truth

I never saw

Until you

Soft brown eyes

I never knew

What I was missing

Until you

I don't know

And I don't mind

That I'm unsure

It's never felt this real

I've never come alive

Like I do

Then when I'm with you

Even now

As scared as we are

Hearts beating time

You feel right

Like you've been mine

All along

Never felt it

This strong

Like I'm one breath away

From getting carried off

With the wind

So just take my hand

Take your time

Taking me down

With you

Whatever you are

Your skin

Is soft

Like mine

You kill me

With those eyes

And every time you smile

I feel like I die

And come alive

All at the same time

And now

That I know

What this tastes like

There's no way

I can ever go back

To life

Before you
