Now I know you

I became you,

As my pencil goes dull our connection sharpens

to a point so pristine we brace for the impact

of reaching its breaking point

Because all things crack under pressure

an untouched eraser remains

to remind us of how we got here

without ignoring what it took

Your soul became my hand

as it told me to write your story

in a language that needed no translation

as it became ours
