Now we live like spirits

Now we live like spirits coexisting in the same house You used to ignite a raging inferno of passion through my heart All that is there now is a frigid cold dark deep vacancy What was my heart is now broken shards of metaphysical pain Instead of passion filled looks of love there are hate-filled stares of contempt and anger Conversations containing laughter and love replaced with vitriol and vehemence or icy cold hours of silence Eyes that once sparkled shimmered with amorous delight now burst with daggers of resentment disdain and hostility A house that used to be a form of a warm paradise feels like a cold empty prison The guardian of hope promise protection and security has shifted into the ghost that lives in my soul 01-05-2021 S.G.Schuller
